I think I was about 17 or 18 when I decided I wanted to be an electrician. I decided to study engineering when I finished my apprenticeship so I would be able to do more different jobs.

Five years ago, when I was 36, the company I work for gave me the opportunity to study for a HNC in civil engineering which got me started.
