Question: What would you say to someone who is thinking of becoming an electrician?

I loved being an electrician and if or when I have children of my own I would be very happy if they chose this too, so I would definitely say go for it. I think an Apprenticeship is the best way to train as the practical training is very important. I would also try and work for a company that doesn’t focus too much on houses. In my experience if you train in factories and on large building sites you learn more and can always go to houses later. If you start on houses you may miss out on learning other things and limit future opportunities.
