Question: Is your job mainly maintenance/ are there opportunities for innovation?

There’s a lot of opportunity for innovation! Wind Energy has become a lot cheaper in recent years and there’s a lot of engineering in that. We invent ways of allowing the wind turbines to generate more electricity, for instance by attaching parts to the blades. Most recently I’ve been involved in designing a system to help us keep track of blade condition over the lifetime of the wind turbine.
