I went to a car factory and the way people worked together with really cool machinery to create cars was really impressive. I decided there and then that I wanted to be part of that world and decided to study engineering. After I graduated, I worked as an engineer because of the opportunities it offered me – a good salary and interesting jobs.

I did a couple of months work experience with the electrical engineers on the London Underground. I really enjoyed it and that made me want to do an apprenticeship to learn to be an Electrician. I studied electrical engineering because I knew from being an electrician I would enjoy it and I could still use my existing skills.
